FAQ
All of our pieces are handmade, so small variations in form, colour, or size are to be expected. Whether carved from stone or shaped in clay, subtle differences in the material and process influence the final result. This is a characteristic of handmade work and part of what makes each piece unique.
Most pieces are made in small series, so the item you receive may not be the exact one pictured, but it will match in design, materials, and quality. One-off pieces are clearly noted in the description.
If you are interested in stocking our work, please get in touch and tell us a little about your business. We are happy to share our wholesale price list and provide further details.
All of our pieces are handmade in our studio on the West Coast of the South Island, Aotearoa New Zealand. We aim to source materials locally, or as close to home as possible, keeping our process grounded in place.
We partner with a small number of shops and galleries that carry a curated selection of our work. For a full list, please visit our STOCKISTS page.
We also appear at a few select markets throughout the year. Join our mailing list for updates on where we will be next.
Our work is produced in small batches, with restocks released at the end of each production cycle. Timing can vary.
If a piece you are interested in is sold out, you are welcome to get in touch, and we can advise on availability or if and when it may return.
We aim to use materials that can be reused, recycled, or returned to the earth. Our packing peanuts are starch-based and can be composted, dissolved in water, or recycled. For extra protection, we use newsprint and corrugated cardboard in place of plastic bubble wrap.
Where possible, we also use recycled or repurposed materials to keep our packaging low-impact and aligned with our work.

All of our functional ceramic pieces are dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing them by hand to help preserve their surface and finish. A little extra care goes a long way.
Handled with care, they will become part of your daily rituals for years to come.
All natural stone is porous and can absorb moisture from the environment and skin. Over time, you may notice dry or matte areas, especially if a piece is stored away or worn infrequently.
Regular wear helps maintain a soft, even sheen. To refresh a piece, you can gently rub it against your skin for a moment.
For deeper conditioning, apply a small amount of a neutral, odourless oil such as castor oil. Rub lightly into the stone using your fingertips, allow it to absorb for a few minutes, then remove any excess with a soft cloth. This will restore depth and surface richness without changing the natural feel of the stone.
Over time, each piece develops a subtle patina through use.
All measurements are in metric units.
For jewellery, dimensions refer to the longest side, unless otherwise stated.
Ceramic vessel capacities are measured when filled to the rim. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in capacity and dimensions are to be expected and are part of what makes each item unique.
