FAQ
All of our pieces are handmade, which means small differences in form, colour, or size are part of what makes each one unique. Whether carved from stone or shaped in clay, many subtle factors influence the final result, and we embrace these as part of the beauty of the process.
Most products are made in small series, so the piece you receive may not be the exact one pictured, but it will be of the same design, materials, and quality. One-off pieces will be clearly noted in the description.
If you are interested in stocking our work, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch and tell us a little about your business. We will be happy to share our wholesale price sheet and provide further details.
All of our pieces are handmade in our studio on the West Coast of the South Island, Aotearoa New Zealand. We strive to source materials locally or as close to home as possible, keeping our process connected to the land that inspires our work.
We are proud to partner with a small number of shops and galleries that carry a curated selection of our work. For a full list, please visit our STOCKISTS page.
We also appear at select markets throughout the year. It is always a joy to connect in person. The best way to hear where we will be next is to join our mailing list.
We create in small batches, so restocks happen at the end of each production cycle, and schedules can vary. If an item you want is sold out, please contact us, and we will see what we can do.
We aim to use materials that are easy to reuse, recycle, or return to the earth. Our packing peanuts are made from starch and can be composted, recycled, or dissolved in water. For extra padding, we use newsprint and corrugated cardboard instead of plastic bubble wrap.
Whenever possible, we source recycled or repurposed materials to keep our packaging low-impact and aligned with the values behind our work.

All of our functional ceramic pieces are dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing them by hand to help preserve their surface and finish. A little extra care goes a long way.
Treat them with the same presence and care they were made with — and they will become part of your daily rituals for a long time to come.
All natural stone is porous and can absorb moisture from the environment or your skin. Over time, you may notice dry or matte patches, especially if the piece is stored away or not worn often.
Wearing your stone regularly helps maintain a soft, even sheen. To refresh a piece that has not been worn in a while, rub it lightly on the back of your neck for a few seconds. The warmth and natural oils restore its lustre.
For deeper conditioning, apply a light, odourless oil such as castor oil. Rub a small amount into the stone with your fingertips, let it absorb for a few minutes, then wipe away any excess with a soft cloth. This brings out the richness and character of the stone without affecting its natural feel.
Over time, your stone piece will develop a quiet patina, reflecting the life it shares with you.
All measurements are in metric units.
For jewellery, dimensions are usually given by the longest side (length), unless stated otherwise.
Ceramic vessel capacities are measured when filled to the rim. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in capacity and dimensions are expected and part of what makes each item unique.
