HOLD | Exhibition at Nelson Clay Week 2026

Karma’s ceramic collection, HOLD, will be exhibited at G Space Gallery in Whakatū Nelson as part of Nelson Clay Week, from 3–9 October 2026. We would love to see you there!

HOLD is a collection of contemporary functional ceramics grounded in the quiet rhythms of daily life.

A mug lifted in the morning. A bowl held in two hands. A light tended at the end of the day. These small, repeated gestures can easily pass unnoticed, yet they are woven through the fabric of our lives.

For this collection, I have been thinking about the relationship between function, touch and presence. How an object changes as it becomes part of a daily ritual. How weight, warmth, texture and form can make an everyday moment feel a little more considered.

I am interested in making things that are not simply looked at, but lived with. Objects that settle into their surroundings. That become familiar through use. That are reached for again and again.

That is the idea behind HOLD.
